Dynamic Vibration Analysis And Design
Vibration monitoring, data logging and post processing are functions all performed in-house. We provide a holistic approach to vibrational problems by proper assessment of both mechanical equipment and the interaction thereof with supporting structures.
Our staff are highly experienced in the field of dynamically loaded structures. Any vibrational problems arising from vibrating screens & feeders, pumps, trommels, mills, fan turbines etc. can be resolved.
The services typically include:

1.
Vibration Measurement and Monitoring:
- Conducting field measurements to assess the vibration levels in existing structures or systems.
- Using accelerometers, seismographs, and other sensors to capture vibration data.
2.
Modal Analysis:
- Identifying the natural frequencies, mode shapes, and damping characteristics of a structure or system.
- Using techniques such as experimental modal analysis (EMA) or operational modal analysis (OMA).
3.
Finite Element Analysis (FEA):
- Creating detailed computational models to simulate dynamic behavior under various loading conditions.
- Analyzing how different frequencies and modes affect structural integrity.
4.
Dynamic Load Assessment:
- Evaluating the sources and magnitudes of dynamic loads, such as machinery operation, wind, earthquakes, traffic, and human activity.
- Considering transient and steady-state dynamic loads.
5.
Vibration Isolation and Control:
- Designing and implementing solutions to reduce or isolate vibrations, such as dampers, isolators, and tuned mass dampers.
- Optimizing the placement and specifications of these devices.
6.
Resonance Analysis:
- Identifying potential resonance conditions where the natural frequency of the structure coincides with the frequency of external vibrations.
- Recommending design modifications to avoid resonance and reduce the risk of failure.

7.
Seismic Analysis and Design:
- Assessing the structure’s response to seismic activity.
- Designing for seismic resilience, including base isolators, shear walls, and bracing systems.
8.
Impact and Shock Analysis:
- Evaluating the effects of sudden dynamic events, such as impacts, blasts, or collisions.
- Designing to absorb or mitigate shock loads.
9.
Acoustic Vibration Analysis:
- Studying the interaction between acoustic waves and structural vibrations.
- Designing solutions to reduce noise-induced vibrations.
10.
Data Analysis and Interpretation:
- Analyzing collected vibration data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
- Interpreting results to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
11.
Design Optimization:
- Refining structural or system designs to improve dynamic performance.
- Using optimization techniques to balance performance, cost, and safety.
12.
Simulation and Modeling:
- Developing advanced simulations to predict dynamic behavior under various scenarios.
- Validating models against experimental data to ensure accuracy.

13.
Failure Analysis and Diagnostics:
- Investigating failures or issues related to dynamic vibrations.
- Identifying root causes and providing recommendations for remediation.
14.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Preparing detailed reports that document analysis methods, findings, and recommendations.
- Ensuring clear communication with clients and stakeholders.
15.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensuring that designs meet relevant codes, standards, and regulations related to dynamic performance.
- Keeping abreast of changes in industry standards.
16.
Client Consultation and Training:
- Providing consultation services to help clients understand dynamic vibration issues and solutions.
- Offering training on vibration measurement, analysis, and mitigation techniques.

These services help ensure that structures and mechanical systems can withstand dynamic loads, operate safely, and perform reliably throughout their lifespan.
